A beautiful evening at 17,000 ft on Denali

Just talked to Billmeier via sat phone a little while ago.  They were all settled in at high camp and doing great.  The team did well moving up the ridge, and will take a rest/acclimitization day tomorrow before their summit day...

Hello Michael,
Was glad to hear you were taking another day of rest before you attempt to summit. Looks like tomorrow will be the big day! One that you have all been preparing for. Oftentimes I look out at night and early in the morning and wonder what you are seeing and how you are doing. I feel you especially close to me during those times. We continue to keep you in our prayers and surround you with our love. Our best to all! God bless you Michael and keep you safe. We are so excited for you! Stay strong! Can't wait to hear from you! Your family in Maine.
Love you Michael,

Hope all is go for your summit tomorrow. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Take a good look around, at that height you may be able to see our house on the hill. Be safe. Can't wait to hear more on the blog. Love you. Uncle Don, Tante Ann and the Clavette Crew

Goodmorning Michael,
Well it looks like it's going to be another beautiful day here in Maine. I hope the weather is calm and beautiful for you also. Have been up for quite a while waiting to get an update to see if today is the day!! Have to work today and will see if one of the ER docs will keep this site open for me to be able to check your progress. I'll also log on in the X-ray department. I'm excited for all of you! Know that our love and prayers continue to carry you and you are held close in our hearts. I know this wasn't like anything you are experiencing right now, but I think of the day in July of1990 when I climbed Mt. Krizevac in Medjugorje. I remember reaching the top and seeing the sun rising. There were no words to describe the beauty that was before me. What an awesome God we have! I can only imagine what you have seen and witnessed on this journey. God bless and stay safe! Our best to all of you!
Your family from Maine,
Love you lots and lots,
Holding you close in my heart,
Climbing with you, Michael.
Mom

Hi Eric- We hope you are doing well. We were in Alaska in May and were able to see Denali ourselves, without the climb of course. It is such a beautiful area we are looking forward to hearing about your trip. Everyone in church is praying for you. Be Safe!
