A nice day at 14K
The team had a good day of acclimating, resting, and practicing the skills they will need to go up the fixed lines tomorrow. I just talked to Billmeier at 14k and they are just about to have dinner, and they were joined tonight by the June 22nd Mountain Trip team on their way down from the summit.

Well you're at 14,000ft and how exciting it must be for all of you. We were so excited to get online news this morning that things were continuing to go well. Pepere says "Hi" and that he is praying for you. We continue to follow your progress online each day. This is so neat. Makes us feel that somehow we are close to you. Great to hear what is going on with you online. Hope all is fine. Uncle Don and I check the web site all the time to see if there is more news. It must feel unreal at night with all the stars out. Like you are sitting on top of the world. Here it is very warm and beautiful. I was talking with Liz the other day and said to her, imagine Mickey doing all of this before his 21st birthday. Tante Rita and Uncle Jerry called and said to say hello to you. They are gone for two weeks and will be keeping in touch by phone. Everyone here is so excited for you! Hi Mikey! I hope your having a blast, take it all in, this is such an incredible experience for you, It must be such an awesome and beautiful site!! I can’t wait to see you when you head up to Maine, Andrew and I are definitely going to make our way down…to think for 19 years of my life I saw you every single day, and now I see you once a year…we’re going to have to fix that issue…I miss you and love you, be safe as Llewellyn used to say “safety never takes a holiday!”
